DSV Seeds brings field inspections and crop information together in DSVCrop
From a field assessment to a report for the grower and cultivation team.
Published
A field inspection provides information that both the grower and the cultivation team need. With DSVCrop, DSV’s own environment based on iCrop, DSV Seeds Nederland records assessments and shares inspection reports with growers.
From field to inspection report
DSV’s crop advisers visit and assess fields. In DSVCrop, they record the inspection findings against the relevant field. This keeps the assessment connected to the place where the work happens.
The configuration follows DSV’s inspection process. Field information and field inspection reports come together in one environment, under its own DSVCrop name.
Sharing the assessment with the grower
After the assessment, the grower receives the field inspection report by email. The cultivation team also receives the report. DSVCrop therefore supports the step from recording in the field to feedback for the grower and internal follow-up.
Inspection data is also used for NAK reporting. The record therefore serves both communication with the grower and the further processing of inspection information.
Developed through practical experience
DSV’s crop advisers and the staff who process the information work with AppsforAgri on the configuration of DSVCrop. Their practical experience helps to improve data entry, reports and the retrieval of information.
The first phase focused on the field inspection process. Building on that foundation, DSV is exploring how the platform can also support other parts of crop guidance.
A foundation to build on
Crop status, crop-protection advice and additional reports have been discussed as part of the further configuration. Expansion with crop-specific information for oilseed rape is also being considered.
These possibilities are assessed and developed together with the cultivation team. In this way, DSV is gradually building an environment that fits the daily work of its own staff.
With DSVCrop, DSV connects the assessment of a field with the information that the grower and cultivation team need.
