As of today, the Brokking Groep B.V. of Almere may call itself a Royal organization. The Predicate Royal has been awarded by His Majesty the King on the occasion of its 100 years of existence. Commissioner of the King in the Province of Flevoland Mr. Arjen Gerritsen awarded the official Predicate Royal to Brokking Groep B.V. during the festive anniversary celebration on Tuesday, November 26. This took place in the presence of CEO Mr. Jeroen Rossy, CFO Mr. Sjoerd Schaafsma, members of the fourth generation of the Brokking family and Mayor Mr. Hein van der Loo of Almere.
Brokking Group B.V.
Brokking started in 1924 as a grain mill and trade in animal feed raw materials in IJsselstein. The company has since grown into one of the larger international wholesale fertilizer companies in northwestern Europe. It also specializes in valorizing raw materials and circular streams to make it useful for the animal feed sector. It also develops apps like SmartFarm to support growers.
Royal award
The Predicate Royal is an award for associations, foundations, institutions or large corporations. An organization must meet some conditions: it must hold a very prominent position within a field, be of national importance and have existed for at least one hundred years. It does not mean that the company in question is a supplier or has any other relationship with the Royal Household. Only the King can award the Predicate.
